The GSO elections ended today. The result was that the graduate student body decided that the activities fee should be voluntary. 649 students voted for a voluntary fee, while 492 voted to make it mandatory.

I also have a tally of the crazy write in votes. (I've cut out the ones that seemed likely to be actual students.) All of these were voted for by exactly one student.

President: anyone else, George W. Bush, Jack Kevorkian, Ralph Nader, Steve Martin, The Easter Bunny.

Vice President: Santa Clause, Selma Hayak.

Secretary: Batman, Mickey Mouse, none.

Treasurer: Minnie Mouse, none, Robin, The corpse of Timoth.
